Style Exploration by EzJedi Style Exploration by EzJedi
I feel like I'm forever saying 'sorry I've been away for x amount of time', so I won't bother. Been going through some stuff, changing some things about the way I work and generally dabbling. This is one of the slightly more pleasing results, I think.

You could've seen this and some of those other experiments (some bad, some worse, some... okay) on my instagram. Follow me there if you like the notion of seeing my sanity unravel publicly through the medium of digital art: www.instagram.com/ezjedi/

I can still tell you did it so you're not exploring enough! =P (Razz)
Digging this guy's getup! Out of interest, what are the main things you're changing about your approach?

Stopping fannying about with perfect lines, more colour holds, more blending of colours (as opposed to NONE), working at a lower res for final art, using softer tool (pencil type) for the lineart as opposed to harder inking style tools, less angular design, more flow, less focus on realism. Yep. That's pretty much everything!

Haha, it sounds a lot, but it really breaks down to some simple changes to allow me to enjoy the illustration process more and achieve a look I find desirable in the art I enjoy. Obviously it's still me though; I'm not forcing style, so my stuff will probably always remain recognisably mine (at least to those who know me) I guess. I suppose I'm more looking for an evolution than a reboot, if that makes any sense! :O
